About Us

Emily was inspired to write this book for her son, Andre.He has been an avid enthusiast of all types of landscapingtools since he was a very young age. Andre could work aleaf blower by age 2, and a weedwacker probably waybefore he should have been. While we found lots of booksabout heavy equipment, we could not find any for his specialinterest. Instead, he would pour over landscaping catalogsand he became quite the authority on which ones werebest (Honda). Emily wrote this book for Andre for his 3rdbirthday, which he celebrated with a leaf blower themedbirthday where all the kids delighted in blowing leavesaround a gym.

Blake is an illustrator and graphic designer. He’sbeen drawing for as long as he can remember, spendinghis days creating characters and bringing them to life. Blake was inspired by his son Mars when making theillustrations for this book. He thought about some of hisfavorite books from when he was a kid and wanted toillustrate something his own son would enjoy just as much.
